An elite group of students from The University of Queensland’s School of Journalism and Communication is providing up-to-the-minute and in-depth coverage of the International Olympiad for Informatics on this dedicated website from 6 to 13 July, 2013.
They are producing radio, television, print, online and photojournalism content that allows family and friends around the world to see how their favourite IOI competitors are doing throughout the competition.
The students are earning course credits for their work in this intensive, immersive, experiential Work-integrated Learning opportunity that is intended to make them ‘work-ready’ once they graduate.
Furthermore this site will be a permanent archive of this historic event.
We are also inviting media around the world to download and use any of our stories, videos, audio packages or photographs – free of charge and with no further approvals required. We ask only that they credit the student whose report it is and The University of Queensland. For further details, see the Media Outlets link on this site.
